This movie does continue the path of sending out message as did "Taare Zameen Par", its a must watch for people who only "study" and never understands what they study. It puts light on the need to give more importance to the originality, creativity, application when we learn.
When I look back I remember few things that I learnt from school/college, seen application or applied it myself. Now did others only wasted my time? surely some were if not all. The appeal is not against the teaching material alone, the methods that we use to teach young ones, the emphasis given to mark one scores. Do the schools and colleges ever mind if the pupil understand and use the knowledge that they memorize for the exams alone and never digests it. I bet there aren't many who care what the pupil understands.
The parents needs to understand a simple fact that one becomes only capable when he learns something but excels only if he understands and loves what he does. Now back to the movie, the character of Farhaan(Madhavan) was a good wildlife photographer but his family forced him to be an Engineer. The scene where he convinces his father that he doesn't enjoy being a Engineer and loves to be a photographer does tell it all. Another sequence that I loved is the Interview of Raju(Sharmaan Joshi) is a touchy one as well. The mantra "All is Well" does say all these in a funny manner.
At last the School of Rancho(Aamir) will amuse people, and throws light into application of technology for simple things. Most often we think of big things and never think of simple solutions that can be useful to more people.
